Aman ki Asha On January 1st, 2010 the entire front page of the Times of India featured doves flying, and the words "LOVE PAKISTAN." It marked a bold launch of what would become the largest India-Pakistan peace campaign ever. We had worked very closely with both the Times of India and the Jang Group and they had both been enormous supporters of our work. We were overjoyed to learn that they had both agreed to work collaboratively to launch Aman ki Asha with the same heart-to-heart, people-to-people approach that we had been promoting so hard. Aman ki Asha has featured a series of high profile concerts and public service announcements with Amitabh Bacchan as the official spokesman. Billboard (hoardings) have been put up all over, and various campaigns have been run to bring together children, business leaders, and government officials in the name of better, friendlier relations. We, at Friends Without Borders, are very proud to have contributed to the making of such a high profile, well-intentioned campaign. Click image on left to see the full TOI cover. |

It may be long before the law of love will be recognised in international affairs. The machineries of government stand between and hide the hearts of one people from those of another. -- M.K. Gandhi | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
