Dear friend,

Hi! How are you? I'm Banri M, an eleven year old girl studying in the 7th standard in the Udgam School, in Gujarat, Ahmedabad. I write this letter to you in the fervent hope and wish it finds you in good health and cheer. What about you? I'm sure you'll be having a nice time in Pakistan.

As I mentioned before, I live in Gujarat that is of course in India. My nation, is the 7th largest nation in the world, with fantastic beauty, and scenery. Other relief features like the cool streams, tranquil lake waters, majestic mountains attract many tourists. People following different religions like Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, and many other religions and celebrate different festivals like Diwali, Christmas, Idd Paleti, and many more with great pomp and zeal. I'm proud to say that my country possesses rich culture and heritage.

I'm well aware that the 14th of August is your Independence day and am sure that you'll be celebrating it with great enthusiasm. We too celebrate our independence day that falls on the 15th of August by hoisting our tri-colour and distributing sweets. It is viewed as the most important day in the year, because this is the day when INDIA got its freedom after so many years of tyranny and hard work by both the countries INDIA & PAKISTAN. We also sing patriotic songs and play the national anthem on flute & drums. So, why not forget about the religion and country and think about PEACE.

I hope to have an everlasting friendship with you and your country and always keep in mind the motivating thought, "UNITED WE STAND. DIVIDED WE FALL..."

So goodbye for now and I also hope to get a reply soon.

Your loving friend,

Banshri M
7th standard
