Dear Friend Abdul,

I am fine here and hope the same for you by the grace of God. I am very glad to celebrate our first friendship anniversary and am feeling very proud to have friendship with a fellow in Pakistan , in such a time when both countries, i.e., India and Pakistan , are hostile to each other. I must say that peace is necessary for a person to grow and develop as a responsible citizen. Peace helps the countries to develop their relations. But, on the other hand, our countries are continuously being hostile to each other. Peace helps the nation to allocate its resources for the development of human beings, otherwise those resources are used for wars and other human disasters. Arms race has emerged as an antonym of peace. From arms race, one gets nothing other than destruction and devastation. Therefore peace is necessary not only for human development, but for all-round development.

Therefore, being the future of our countries, we should pledge that "peace will be our motto in life to make our countries rise to new heights." I will wait for your letter.

Yours affectionately,

Gopal Aggarwal
